List of Penalties

Cards has a large, ever-changing list of penalties. Unless stated otherwise, being penalized means drawing one additional card.


Speaking penalties:

  • Failure to say "Have a nice day" when playing any seven
  • Failure to say "Crazy Eights" when playing an eight
  • Failure to announce a suit when playing a Wild Card
  • Failure to say "Thank you" when receiving a penalty
  • Saying anything bad (or remotely negative) about Cards
  • Mentioning Thick of it By KSI


Housekeeping penalties:

  • Knocking over the deck
  • Making a mess
  • Bending the cards
  • Forgetting the rules
  • Looking at your hand before the game has started
