About Cards

Cards is a card shedding game [1] initially jointly created by "Neofeils" and "Mathpotatoes". The name was deliberately chosen to be confusing and non-answer sounding to the question "What are you playing?". Cards was originally Crazy Eights, but with added rules as it became "boring." This let to heavy inspiration from the game Mao, [2] adding penalties and the concept of creating new rules on the spot. Cards's rules slowly then became what they are today over the course of two years, (as of May 2026) after the introduction of Cards to the creators' friend group.
